Food & Agriculture:

 

• Family & co-op farmer financial support to save family farms and bear the costs of the organic/permaculture conversion of all agriculture
• Andy supports use of locally produced, organic food in our schools
• Ban genetically engineered agriculture and other kinds of food production. We must move to methods of food production that fit within the Earth’s ecological systems, not ones that fundamentally and unpredictably alter them. He would fully support labeling of genetically-engineered products in the interim.
• In the meantime, Andy will also work to get a national GMO food-labeling law passed.
• Andy supports shutting down factory farming
