Women, Race & Social Justice:
- Increased federal funding for basic scientific research
- Pro Gay Marriage. Pro Gays in the Military.
- Andy supports anti-hate crime legislation for anti-gay violence
- Andy supports de-criminalizing prostitution, but with strict zoning and health support legislation
- Pro-Choice. Period. Pro-womens’ privacy rights.
- Andy is extremely concerned about teen pregnancy, health, safety & abortions and will work on measures–not intrusive upon women’s rights–to reduce teen pregnancy and abortion.
- Andy supports criminalizing invasive behavior by anti-abortion activists at the facilities of abortion service providers
- Andy supports passage of the Equal Rights Amendment
- Against the Death Penalty except for corporate and political crimes of murder (but would vote against the death penalty in all cases).
- Justice for native American land claims & greater sovereignty of tribes
- Entire overhaul of the bureaucracy that relates the U.S. Government to native Americans, their governments, and control over land use. Major initiatives and funding to aid development of full employment in sustainable, jobs and small business development in Indian reservations and other native American communities.
- Full religious freedom for the religions and spiritual practices of indigenous people.
